Commercial Chain Link Fencing

Chain link is still the fastest, most cost-effective way to secure a commercial perimeter — when it is specified and installed correctly. We build with schedule 40 pipe, not the residential-grade tube sold at big-box stores.

  • Schedule 40 commercial pipe as standard, not an upcharge
  • USA 811 utility locates called before any post goes in
  • Concrete cure scheduled around your trade sequence
  • COI naming your GC and owner issued before we mobilize

Services: Chain link, Temporary fence rental, Ornamental steel, Gates & operators, Access control, Emergency repair.

01What it is

Built to commercial spec, not big-box grade.

A chain link system is a set of line posts, terminal posts and top rail carrying a woven wire mesh fabric, tensioned with bands and tension bars. How long it lasts comes down to three things most bids get wrong: pipe wall thickness, footing depth, and how the fabric is tied off at corners and gates.

We specify schedule 40 galvanized pipe on commercial work as standard, set terminal and gate posts in 12-inch diameter concrete footings, and tension fabric with bands at 15-inch intervals. For coastal and refinery-adjacent sites where salt and chemical exposure eat standard galvanizing, we move to vinyl-coated fabric over a galvanized core.

Mesh size and gauge drive both cost and security. A 2-inch, 9-gauge fabric is the commercial workhorse. Where a site needs genuine intrusion resistance we go to 1-inch mini-mesh or 6-gauge, which defeats bolt cutters and climbing far better than the standard weave.

02Where it gets specified

Who buys chain link, and why.

  • 01

    Construction site perimeters

Secure the lay-down yard and equipment before materials land on site. We coordinate around your grading and utility schedule so fence goes up once, not twice.

  • 02

    Warehouse and distribution yards

Trailer parking, container storage and truck courts, typically 8 ft with three-strand barbed arms and cantilever gates sized for 53 ft trailers.

  • 03

    Municipal and utility enclosures

Pump stations, substations, corp yards and water infrastructure built to agency standard details and inspected against them.

  • 04

    Sports, schools and parks

Backstops, court enclosures and playfield perimeters in black or green vinyl-coated fabric, with knuckled selvage where kids are present.

  • 05

    Screening and dust control

Privacy slats or printed windscreen on chain link to satisfy conditional-use screening requirements and keep the jobsite out of public view.

  • 06

    Solar and battery storage sites

Perimeter fence for solar arrays and battery storage, built to the owner's setback, grounding and access-gate details.

03How the job runs

How a chain link job runs.

Five steps, one straight line. Weather, permits and material lead times move the durations — we tell you which apply to yours.
